And then there was the final 4

So finally Ms. Brooke "I cry and pout at nearly everything" White is gone home. She had a great run and could find some sucess as a recording artist, if she could find and/or create some original and personal material. Next week we have songs that shaped/inspired Rock n' Roll [what ever that means]. Consipicy theorist might say this is how the producers make sure David C. gets a little further along and perhaps keeping Jason from going any further. I only point that out because one thing Idol has not done is presented the theme weeks up front but rather as we go along. Perhaps making adjustments as they see fit to shape the outcome for maximum value. Of course that's just the cynical side of me speaking now.

As for song selection, this should be a wide open week. In my humble opinion, the Idols could choose anything from early 50's R & B and Elvis to The Beatles and the britsh movement to Led Zeppelin and the late 70's classic rock stage through Grunge of the early 90's. Since the contestants will sing at least 2 songs [if not 3], I owuld love to see them each pick songs of differing styles. Who really wants to see David A. sing too sappy power ballads anayway?

Dave A will sing whatever his father tells him to sing. Can you believe that article in Entertainment weekly. Here I thought Dave A was arranging this music by himself and AI, I had no idea Daddy was pulling all the musical strings and puppet Dave A just stood by the microphone in a booth waiting for the finger to be pointed at him to sing. That kid will never make it to the big time or he will and kill himself or be a druggie by 25. Either way it's a no win situation for poor puppet Dave A. I really don't care who is in the top 2 now since Carly got kicked off. Everyone else SUCKS in my opinion except for David Cook. He would have won anyway between him and Carly but it sure would have been fun watching those two battle it out. Now I don't care, I'll watch the last Wed for the results on the 21st. AI SUCKS!
p.s. Bye Pouty Brooke, have fun being a nanny again.. Those kids love you!
