Zippy Shrimp
Made grilled shrimp for the first time this spring earlier this week and I had almost forgotten how great it tastes. The actual name is Zippy Grilling Sauce [made up of water, citrus juice, sugar, salt, wheat, soybeans, sesame oil, olive oil, garlic, ginger, cayenne pepper and spices] and it is available from the Tavvino Restaurant [267 Water Street, Warren, RI 02885 - 401.245.0231]. They use it for tuna, shrimp, steaks and various other dishes. If you get your hands on some, marinade your uncooked shrimp in the sauce for 10 minutes and then grill [I use a wok on the grill and it works great] - it only takes about 8 minutes to cook. In the meantime make some zippy dip by mixing the sauce with mayonnaise and some poppy seeds to taste. Once the shrimp are grilled, just dip and eat. Mmm mmm good.
Maybe even Scott would like this. Well maybe not, he is allergic after all.
