8-bit PE Game

What do you get when you cross an old-school gaming envoriment with two modern day pot heads? The Pineapple Express Game of course.

It plays like Donkey Kong except the pineapples can go in either direction on a platform and if you eat enough munchies, you can go all Munchie Mayhem and eat the pineapples too. Yummy.

Old Skool Gaming

If you, like me, are a child of the eighties then you remember the original Nintendo Entertainment System [way before the Game Cube or Wii]. Games like Super Mario Brothers, The Legend Of Zelda, ExciteBike, Tecmo Super Bowl, Blades Of Steel, Metroid, Contra Force, and Kung Fu were staples for any NES player back in the day. And now the guys over at nitendo8.com have put many of those old skool titles online to allow us to replay our youth. Thanks guys and now I am off to play some Super Spike V'Ball! KABOOM!!

Spring Fever

Yesterday's upper 60 degree day got everyone thinking spring and what's better to do in the spring than play some golf. Since it is going to snow tonight/tomorrow you can't pull the clubs out just yet but in the mean time check out this very slick online game where you can choose your opponent and tee up for 9 holes of challenging golf. Can't wait to hit the country club this spring and get back into the swing of things.

Another Friday Distraction

Check out The Stunt Man website and see if you can throw him into the:

- road
- window
- car
- trash cans
- light pole
- wall

The graphics are really awesome and I especially like how the alley builds around our hero. If you are unable to find all 9 things you can do to your stuntman, try the keep board. Highlight here for the spoiler keys [spacebar, a, c, l, n, p, s, t & z]. Also check out Action City online. Sure it's in Spanish but again the visuals are really cool. Have a great weekend.

PS3, WTF?

Ok I know the PlayStation 3 has just been released and gamers everywhere have waiting out over night to be the first to get there hands on these systems but this is out of control. A guy was shot in Connecticut while waiting in line [they were also being robbed at the same time], a Boston mall was cleared because of police growing about violence, a Super Wal-Mart in California was shut down after shoppers got rowdy, a drive-by shooting that hit four people with BB pellets outside a Best Buy store in Kentucky, and people were trampled in a Florida store front as patrons raced to enter the store at midnight. Seriously, What The Fuck? It's just a game system.

Certainly there are many entrepreneurs who are going to turn around and sell their new systems online for a nice profit [I saw systems up to 3,500 on eBay this morning] but is all this violence and mayhem necessary? One Best Buy in Boston, aware it had only 140 of the consoles, got smart — its employees gave out tickets to the first 140 people in line so everyone could go home. I would suggest to Sony, Wal-Mart, Best Buy and the rest of the companies involved with this new product to find more civilized methods to sell this very hot product. I pray that it doesn't take several deaths and law suits before these companies realize they have to be more aware of what is going on and must find better ways to deal with these situations.
