Iron Man: Movie Review

I AM IRON MAN [Daaa Daaa Daaa Da Da] - Thank you Black Sabbath! As for the movie, where do i begin? The script was solid. It introduced the characters well and gave a great foundation for Iron Man movies to come [and there will be more]. The casting was excellent. Robert Downey Jr. was perfectly flawed as Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow was good as his faithful and almost sexy personal assistant. The effects were superb and not over done. Sure the flying was great and the suit looks stunning but for me it's the little CGI effects that I really enjoyed like the 3D modeling system and the visual filing system they used. And as an added bonus, their was a good amount of humor in the film, including Mr. Jeves - Stark's home computer.

Spoiler Alert - Do not read further if you do not want to surprised at the end.

The post-credits reveal that Sam Motherfuckin' Jackson has a cameo in the film makes all of those SJ lovers out there go Ohhhh. And then to learn he is Nick Fury and wants to talk to Tony about "The Avenger Initiative" makes you go holy crap!

Marvel already has plans for Iron Man 2 [April 30, 2010] following it with Thor [June 4, 2010] and The First Avenger: Captain America [May 6, 2011]. Now Tony Stark will make his own cameo in this summer's Hulk reboot which lay the ground work for the culmination of the little hint dropped at the end of Iron Man called The Avengers [July 2011] which will bring together the characters of Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Captain America, and Thor in one movie.

All I can say is Marvel has fully entered the movie business and is showing no signs of letting off the gas anytime soon.

DC, are you listening? Can you say Justice League? Maybe your just not ready to try something that ambitious.
