And American Idol is off

The powerhouse that is American Idol is off and running with the top 24 contestants now trying to reach the next level - the top 12, the big stage, live audience, national tour and a shot at being the next american idol [in my best Ryan "Seacrest Out" Seacrest voice]. Given not much more than a brief viewing in the city and hollywood auditions, here are my top 3 men and women this year:
