National Pride

Not sure if anyone caught the beginning of last nights Stanley Cup finals [honestly I have not watched an NHL game since October and really tuned in because there was nothing else on to watch while I read Sunday's paper] but since the game was between a Canadian and US based teams, both national anthems were sung. The Star Spangled Banner followed by O Canada and what a sight to see. Paul Lorieau sang the first few lines of O Canada and then stopped and the 17,000 hockey fans in Rexall Place sang the rest of their national anthem. Is was quite moving to watch such National Pride take over the whole crowd. Now if we could just get some of that at our sporting events here in the states, that would be awesome.
