WFD6K road race
The 7th annual Worcester Firefighters 6k Road Race was again very successful and it turned out to be a beautiful day, almost perfect for running. It was a bit cooler than last years race which was 85 degrees with the relative humidity of about 110% - a real sticky kind of hot. Our team ran a fast race lead by Steve [27:13 - 7:19], then myself [28:56 - 7:47] and then Kymmie [34:46 - 9:21]. Thanks to Steve for running that last hill with Kym to push her to the finish. Special mention for our friend Pete who was a head of us all at 25:26 [6:50]. Way to go Pete! Also big ups to Steve for eclipsing his 7:58 pace from last weekend by running at a pace of 7:19 this weekend. You the man.
