Ok you know it as February 29th of the Leap Year but welcome to an extra day anyway. Every 4 years [except on those years which are evenly divisible by 100] we have an extra day to keep the Gregorian calendar in sync with the vernal equinox falling on or close to March 21 - that's what you get for building a yearly calendar which doesn't exactly match the 365.24219 days of a solar year.
