The future of Maxim
The March issue of Maxim Magazine includes a review for The Black Crowes latest album, Warpaint, due to drop next week. The Crowes called bullshit on the 2.5 out of 5 star review "since advance CDs were not made available". The magazine issued an apology for the review today stating it was "editorial policy to assign star ratings only to those albums that have been heard in their entirety".In a related story, Maxim has given Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 4 out of 5 stars, Led Zeppelin's US tour 4.5 out of 5 stars [and claimed it would have been the best reunion tour if the band relived the famed fish incident on stage], Dan' Brown's untitled 5th book 3 out of 5 stars but also predict it will be a huge seller anyway, and finally have rated the final run of Momma Mia [with the original cast on Broadway] as a perfect 5 star performance.
Who needs to actually see/hear/read something to give an honest review anyway....
