1st employee

I have been a manager of a small department now for just over 8 months I this week marked my first hire. A young kid fresh out of college and I was able to give him his first job, which I think of a special as I reminisce about my first job out of college and the man who was my first boss. I am looking forward to mentoring my newest employee in the more important things as a company man like knowing who to suck up to, being fast friends with the person who really runs the office - our office administrative assistant, and where the good marking swag is kept. Seriously, I am enjoying mentoring him and hopefully giving him a nice jumping off point for his long career.
